The European Union is a union which numbers 27 member states who signed an agreement about the European Union. This union is both an influential international organization and a state but still officially it does proclaim itself neither an international organization not a separate state. UE politics enables the union not only to take an active part in international relations but also play an important role in these relations. There are four European institutions: European Union, European Commission, European Council, European Parliament and Court of Justice.
Since 2000 scientific/technological, innovation and educational policies are undoubtedly three the most important key points in EU politics as far as by 2010 year European union aims to establish the most competitive and functional knowledge economy. In 2003 the members of European Commission adopted a plan which presented particular steps which should be made in order to influence the positive growth of investments in such fields as research and development. Today UE politics is a perfect evidence of the fact that the European Union is strong enough to develop and establish the most competitive and functional economy in the world and can easily set a perfect and very useful example for many other organizations and states.
There are many states which want to join the European Union and become its valuable member, however it's not an easy thing to do. EU politics enables EU citizens form different countries travel Europe without any problems; you will never need visa to travel Europe, if you live in a country which is a full value member of the EU. |
